All prices are based on scheduling at the time of the home inspection. If they are ordered individually at a different time costs will be significantly higher.
Radon Testing: $150 - Radon is a colorless and odorless gas that is the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer behind smoking cigarettes. Radon cannot be detected unless a radon test is conducted. Living in a home with high radon greatly increases the odds of lung cancer. For non-smokers exposed to 1.3 picocuries per liter (pCi/L) of radon, the chance of developing lung cancer is approximately 2 in 1,000 over a lifetime. The risk increases with higher radon levels, with 20 pCi/L increasing the risk to about 36 in 1,000.
Wood Destroying Insect (Termite) Inspection: $125 - (Provided by a 3rd party pest inspection company but scheduled through us.)
Mold Testing (Air Quality Test): $300 - This is the cost for 3 samples; one exterior and two interior. Additional samples cost $50 per sample. This could be additional air, tape or swab samples. Not all fungal growth is visible in the home. It is sometimes inside the walls/ceilings and can only be detected by an air quality test or an invasive inspection. Possible fungal growth cannot be positively identified unless it is tested and confirmed by a certified lab which is included with our air quality test.
Reinspection: $250 - Return after initial inspection to confirm if requested repairs were completed or to check items if they were not able to be inspected during the initial inspection. (Up to 20 items included, over 20 items to check increases the price to $350.)
Detached Structures: $150+ (Depending on size, electrical, plumbing, etc)
