Lavi is very detailed on everything during the inspection and he found a barely noticeable but structural issue in the crawl space. He is also very knowledgeable on all the other issues throughout the house, highly recommended!Updated: I still appreciate Lavi's work, yet I would suggest Lavi to check the flooring and undersink cabinet more thoroughly next time when doing inspection. The pre-owner was sneaky enough to hide the undersink cabinet water damage with lots of odds and ends, and they used cheap rugs to hide the water damage on the floor. We were not aware of the damage until the closing date and they were able to ran away with it. It costs us money and time to repair the damage.

Levi was incredibly meticulous, friendly, and professional. He was gracious enough to let us follow him around and ask him questions during the inspection (first-time home buyers here), and spent far longer going over various parts of the house with us than he was originally scheduled for. He also uncovered a significant sewer line issue that needed immediate attention and factored in to final negotiations. We were lucky to have such a competent and communicative inspector and will definitely be repeat customers!

We were recommended Sheldahl by some very detail-oriented friends, one of whom is a woodworker/handyman himself. Thus far our experience has far exceeded expectations. We have a renovated home and concerns were growing about issues since closing. Sheldahl had availability quickly, and on arrival Levi had clearly spent some time researching the property beforehand. It also was a bonus that they sent such clear instructions and expectations prior to the appointment.He spent so much time looking over the concerns we had, addressing each with explanations that demonstrated expertise and thoughtfulness. I was left feeling confident in his assessments and better informed. I can’t say enough about the attention he showed our home.I would absolutely recommend them for both routine and more nuanced property needs. One of our biggest frustrations in the renovation process was the inconsistent professionalism amongst companies/people. Sheldahl has shown it’s a company that’s efficient, communicative, and thoughtful.

This family business is old school, in every good way. We found them to be personable, professional, and knowledgeable. These folks are so easy to work with. They’re very knowledgeable about what the level of concern for each issue listed in report and the history of building standards. For example, circuit breaker needed to be replace due to fire hazard, while some older wiring was relatively safe and not an Immediate concern. They’re very responsive to our specific needs. For example, we are in Colorado, so the realtor was video taping on her phone, while we watched the inspector show and describe his findings. Communication was excellent. Cost was reasonable. I wish more businesses were of this caliber.
I recently had a home inspected by Ben at Sheldahl Property Inspections. Not only was scheduling the 4-hour inspection surprisingly quick and efficient, but the quality and detail of the 30-page report (shared less than 12 hours after inspection was completed) far exceeded expectation. There was no stone unturned, every inch of the home was inspected inside, outside, underneath, and overhead. The report was easy to understand, divided by location, and included multiple photos and videos, each accompanied by detailed notes and explanations. Highly recommend!

Ben did an amazing job in showing us and explaining the main issues in the house and how to address them. Inspecting your home is well worth the investment, even a new build! Levi was able to identify an issue with our new septic tank and if it wasn't for the inspection, we could have faced larger and expensive issues. I couldn’t have been more pleased with my home inspection from Sheldahl Property Inspections. Ben was very pleasant and did a thorough job. He walked me through the house patiently explaining everything he found and answering all my questions. Ben was clear and concise and made excellent suggestions where appropriate.I’ve bought several homes and this was the most detailed yet readable home inspection report I received. It included an all-encompassing report as well as a summary report. Every item noted, minor or major, was photographed. Not just that, but the photos were marked up with red arrows or circles were appropriate so that one could easily focus on the issue.
